The leader of the Church of God and Saints of Christ’s was a conflicted figure in the eyes of the public, part misleading for the non-believers, but a great visionary and a prophet for our great grandparents, grandparents and us the generations thereafter. God spoke through the Ntabelanga native and he prepared the Saints of the Most High for the days that we now endure. With the world in turmoil, we cannot help but remember the sentiments of this servant of God, “Akuzukonwaba igala emgxunyeni, akuzukonwaba intlanzi emanzini, akuzukonwaba intaka esibhakabhakeni” which translates to a time where all nations will know no joy even in their natural habitats. Indeed, there was a prophet in Israel who foresaw these things unfolding. We continue to use the true covenant of God he brought, 7 Keys and 10 Commandments, as a guiding light to live lives worthy of calling ourselves God’s chosen people.

This Church is founded and based on the 7 Keys and 10 Commandments which were revealed to Prophet Enoch J. Mgijima of Africa in Ntabelanga in 1908, these revelation were originally revealed to Prophet William S. Crowdy in Philadelphia, America in the late 1800s. As a testimony and correlation between these 2 Prophets born thousands of kilometers apart there was Bishop John I. Msikinya explaining the similarities who initially convinced the Prophet Mgijima to join the Church of God and Saints of Christ based on testimonies of Prophet Crowdy about a man he would meet akin to Prophet Mgijima. Eventually Prophet Mgijima would go onto form his own church, Bishop Msikinya would join the late prophet and worshipped under his leadership until his death in 1916. These men revealed the right teaching of our Lord, Jesus Christ and of His Apostles. This is the manner in which the services are conducted, the services are held daily – 3 times a day. They begin with a Sunday night service and Friday night service which is the beginning of the Sabbath, these are testimony services (inkonzo zobungqina) and the congregants are dressed in black and white according to the law of the Holy Sabbath of the Lord God which is a sign between God and His people (Ezekiel 20:12). The first trumpet sounds at 9:30 o’clock in the morning, then all the Saints and the choir come together. The second trumpet sounds, then the Bishops come into the sanctuary with their ministers following according to the chronological order of their offices and tabernacles. The congregation rises to their feet and the presiding Bishop greets everyone in the sanctuary until the chief amongst them sits and then the service can begin. This reverence is shown only to the ministers, no other office is afforded such respect. Other offices have their own manner of respect shown to them.

To be Accepted in the Church Fellowship.

A person who is converted should tell the church what their beliefs are, the church in turn should inform the person of the regulations of the church If they are willing to follow all the regulations, then they are led to the river accompanied by the congregants and he is immersed in the river according to his faith and baptized by a minister of authority. They are then taken to the tabernacle and they are given unleavened bread and water to wash their feet. (Matthew 26:26-28; John 13:1-23) They are breathed upon with hands laid upon them. They are then lead by a prayer found in Luke 11:1-4 and they are received and welcome with a holy kiss (Romans 16:16) by all the church members, when they are exhorted they become full members.
